About the IESA

The Israeli Esports Association (IESA) is a registered non-profit organization (Amuta) founded in 2010 by leading figures in Israel's competitive gaming community. It serves as the national body for esports in Israel.

The IESA operates and supports competitive gaming leagues and tournaments nationwide, sets unified standards, regulations, and rules for all official competitions, trains referees and tournament organizers, and is a key partner in producing major gaming and esports events across Israel.

As Israel's official representative to the International Esports Federation (IESF) and the European Esports Federation (EEF), the IESA connects Israeli esports to the global competitive gaming community.

Esports in Israel

The competitive gaming scene in Israel began in the early 2000s, driven by passionate community members, and has since grown into an integral part of the global and European esports ecosystem. Since 2010, the IESA has managed all facets of the industry domestically — from player registration and tournament management to representing Israel at the World Championships.

In recent years, the industry has grown significantly: hundreds of registered players, dozens of tournaments per year, and a national team that competes on the international stage. Israel hosted the 2021 IESF World Championship in Eilat — a milestone event attended by teams from over 60 countries.
